The Minnesota State High School League unanimously agreed to allow winter sports this year, albeit with fewer contests than in previous years.

All sports will begin near the usual time, but with no more than 18 contests per sport this season, and with no more than two contests per week.

Likewise, tournaments are not allowed this season. For dance, wrestling and alpine skiing, no more than three teams may compete in a given contest.

Time at the end of a season is set aside to allow for rescheduled games in the event a team or school has a COVID-19 outbreak and can not participate as scheduled.

Fans are allowed to attend winter events, but no more than two per participant, with the crowd not to exceed 25% capacity.
