Eight letterwinners return this season for the Pequot Lakes Revolution dance team.

Those letterwinners include: Kenzie Lampi, Jocelynn Rothwell, Sam Jackson, Marisa Mulholland, Jackalyn Fox, Katie Nelson, Kelbee Lampii and Payton Mudgett.

Melissa Owen begins her sixth season as coach for the Revolution, who compete in the Mid-State Conference. Gabrielle Carey is the assistant coach.

“We are very excited for our season,” Owen said. “We have a small, but passionate and hard- working group. We think our themes and routines are strong and we are excited to perform and compete with them.”

The Revolution are scheduled to open the season Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Detroit Lakes Invitational. The Section 4-2A meet is Saturday, Feb. 1, in Monticello.

At last year’s section meet, the Revolution finished eighth out of 13 teams in both jazz and kick competition.

The Revolution finished third in high kick and fifth in jazz competition at last year’s Mid-State Conference home meet. Other teams competing were Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton, Detroit Lakes, Pierz and Pine River-Backus. The Revolution junior varsity jazz team finished first.
