BARROWS-Keith Thell and Adam Goff each made their first appearances of the season Saturday, June 8, at North Central Speedway good ones with feature wins on the sixth night of racing.

Thell won the 15-lap Mod 4 feature race with 18 cars in the field.

He drew the start on the front row for the feature and never looked back, finishing in front of Jess Geesey and Dean Larson. The race's final lap saw Keith Roush bring out a caution flag in turn two with the checkered flag waving. A handful of drivers were affected and Roush finished at the back of the field.

Adam Prieve finished out of the top five, but retained a 24-point lead over Geesey in the points chase.

Goff held off a number of challengers for the Hobby Stock 15-lap feature that included Tim Gonska, Michael Nelson and Joe Gonska.

Tim Gonska's second-place finish allowed him to increase his points lead to 12 over Michael Nelson and 18 over Joe Gonska.

Zachery Schreder, Chris VanMil and Rob VanMil all won their first feature events of the year at NCS. Schreder was a winner in the Sports Compact 15-lap feature race. He started from the fifth row in a 15-car field. Grayson Pratt came in second place in his first appearance of the year and Harry Ruikka was the third-place finisher.

It was Chris VanMil, in just his second appearance of the year, getting the win in the 15-lap feature. Tim Siercks finished second. Pete Hines secured the third spot.
