Austin Meister, Dylan Mesenbrink and Daltin Ackerman all knocked out two hits in a 7-2 first game win and Cam Anderson struck out six batters in a 18-0 nightcap victory for Pequot Lakes over Park Rapids in a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Monday, May 13

Meister and Mesenbrink each collected two RBI and Ackerman knocked out a triple in Game One. Anderson shut down the Panthers for six innings in Game two, giving up just one hit along with the six strikeouts.

Dylin Ackerman was 3-3 with three RBIs and Sam Pfeiffer went 2-4 with two RBIs.

The Patriots, 5-1 in the conference and 9-4 overall, are scheduled to host Staples-Motley Friday, May 17, and then play a doubleheader at Aitkin Monday, May 20.

On Thursday, May 9, Justin Dykhoff struck out 11, didn't walk a batter and allowed three hits as unbeaten Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines shut out Pequot Lakes in a non-conference game.

Noah Roers went 3-3 with a double for the Wolverines and Wyatt Hermann was 3-4 with three runs scored for W-DC, 9-0 overall.

Daltin Ackerman doubled for Pequot and Dylan Ackerman and Cam Anderson accounted for the other two Patriot hits.

Patriots sweep C-I

On Tuesday, May 7, Daltin Ackerman doubled and drove in three runs as the Patriots swept the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 10-5 and 7-4 in a Mid-State Conference doubleheader.

In the opener, Austin Meister was the winning pitcher for the Patriots, who enjoyed an 11-8 edge in hits. Meister struck out five and added a double while teammate Nic Kotaska was 2-3 with a triple.

Pequot Lakes won the nightcap despite only out-hitting the Rangers 8-7. The Patriots did take advantage of five C-I errors.
