BARROWS-David Siercks and Tim Gonska each collected their second win of the season and Billy Kendall III made a trip back to the winner's podium Saturday, May 11, on the third night of racing at North Central Speedway.

It has been the Siercks show so far this season in the Sport Mod class as David Siercks took the checkered flag opening night, April 27, and David's son, Tim, won last week. Tim won the heat race Saturday night followed by David in second place in the first heat race.

Todd Rizer won the second heat race and after the redraw, Tim Siercks and Rizer earned a spot on row three for the feature race. David Siercks landed for four.

David Siercks' patience normally pays off and that was the case Saturday as he took to the low part of the track and passed when the opportunity was there. Midway through the race, he secured to the front spot and hung to win. Pete Hines finished second and Rizer was third.

The Gonska brothers, Tim and Joe, have been a dominant force in the Hobby Stock class the last two years and so far 2019 has been Tim's. While Joe has struggled in the first two feature races, Tim secured his first feature win in Week Two. Saturday he made it two in a row with a win in the 15-lap feature.

Tim Gonska won his heat race but the redraw and him starting from the inside on the fifth row. Joe Gonska was right behind on the sixth row.

However, at the end of the race they were in a familiar spot at the top of the field with Tim the first-place finisher and Joe second.

Billy Kendall III is used to first-place finishes in Modified competition, but his first start to the season went the opposite way. On opening night he finished ninth in a nine car field, and he didn't race on Week Two.

Saturday night he got off on the right foot with a win in the heat race. In typical Kendall III fashion, he drew the front row in the feature race. Kendall III starting from the front row is tough to beat and he was just that as he won the 20-lap feature. Shawn Fletcher placed second and Aaron Johnson third.

A rain out at Ogilivie brought a few more cars for the features at NCS and one of those drivers was Sport Compact driver Jake Driver, who had to start in the back of the field after the late entry. He took over after the green flag waved and moved to the front to take the win in front of Zach Besmehn. Trista Pankratz placed third.

Other winners Saturday were Kevin Burdick in the Street Stock class and Adam Prieve in the Mod 4's.
