The Central Lakes College baseball team will be hosting a hitting and a pitching/catching academy this winter.

The hitting academy will run from noon to 1:45 p.m. on Sundays Feb. 17, 24 and March 3, while the pitching/catching academy will run from 2-3:45 p.m. on those same days at the Central Lakes College gymnasium.

The cost for the hitting academy is $85, while the pitching/catching academy is $40.

During the hitting camp, there will be drill work in order to get the hitters feeling their swing, the drills are drills that all levels of hitters use to become the best hitter that they can be. There will be radars at the cages for exit velocity during hitting.

During the pitching/catching session, each player will be shown the proper way to arm care both pre-throwing and post-throwing. Each player will work through the weekly progression into a bullpen for the last two weeks. There will be radar testing to see velocity.

Players are asked to bring in their name, position, the school they attend, grade and a contact person.
