The "Shoot Down Cancer" event includes a 50-clay course, followed by dinner, silent auction and "celebrity bartender" competition. Participants will receive an event t-shirt and gift bag.

The shotgun start is at 5 p.m. with dinner 7:30 p.m.

Proceeds will go to support the American Cancer Society.

Registration for shooters is $75 and is limited to 60 shooters. Registration is $55 for non-shooters.

Registration is open to individuals and teams, as individuals will be placed on a team, and will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 18, or until full.

Local celebrities "bartending" to help raise donations include Walleyedan, Dive Guys owner Matt Wilkie and members of the Nisswa Fire Department.

Event planners are also seeking event sponsors, silent auction items and gift bags.

Funds raised help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people facing the disease and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations.
