In the city's first attempt at a tournament, the Breezy Point Disc Course hosted 71 competitors for the inaugural Breezy Point Open Tournament.

The nearly six dozen competitors took to the course on a damp Saturday morning, Aug. 3, for the 36-hole event.

Mike Kurzhals claimed the top spot in the open category, shooting a two-round score of 90 (18 under par), while Joe Notch, David House and Sam Newton tied for second with a score of 94.

J.D. Kelso finished first in the advanced category with a score of 91 and Tim Rocky led the intermediate division with a 102.
