What I think we need to do to get rid of all of the plastic is to find a biodegradable replacement that can store liquids without getting wet and breaking.
It is very crucial that we stop using single-use plastics if we ever want this cycle to end, and for a clean ocean and life for the future generations and for us today.

Middle school students complete an environmental civics project every year, with some students doing work in the community for theirs.
If we recycle, it goes to a factory that can reuse it into different plastics. One example is if I recycle one plastic water bottle, it can be part of a milk jug.
Helping stop plastic pollution can be as easy as simply throwing recyclable plastic in the recycle bin or picking up plastic trash.
