Letter to the Editor: Walz doesn't want to offend his political base

So far this year we have seen Gov. Walz comment on the death of George Floyd, Daunte Wright, Winston Smith and recently on the traffic stop of Rep. John Thompson.

He speaks frequently about the concept of systemic racism.

Remarkably, the governor’s silence is deafening regarding the soaring crime rates and shootings in Minnesota, primarily in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

I guess criticizing cities run by people of his own party is not as politically beneficial as commenting on the other incidents and why resisting arrest is a bad idea.

Walz is missing in action on solving these horrific shootings, killings and other crimes. I am sure he does not want to offend his political base.
