I have worked closely with Jon Lubke for many years now as a board member of Habitat for Humanity and a volunteer in the field. He has been very valuable to Habitat and other civic organizations.
As mayor of Jenkins for 15 years he has exhibited the same energy in implementing the complicated details and responsibilities of being a public servant.
In pursuing solutions to issues of civic need, he displays the desire to govern fairly and in myriad volunteer duties he understands the times that people need a hand up. He offers support and his willingness to help.
Equally important, he has also shown the ability and willingness to fairly balance the needs of development and the needs of the environment, which are so essential to all of us here in Crow Wing County.
