Letter to the Editor: Real worries and hope

Study the field of political candidates and vote for leaders who will address the severe worry of global warming as if it were worse than a pandemic.

Lately we have had reports of an economic slowdown. Some say we are in a recession. This is cause to worry.

People lose equity in a recession. That’s a real worry.

But a lot of things are relative. Inflation on the back of a minimum wage worker is a worse worry. But, again, some things are relative.

A people debating and dragging their feet over global warming that is causing environmental disasters (flooding, drought, wildfires, etc.) is a severe worry.

“We, the People” can do something about this. Vote!

Please study the field of candidates and vote for leaders who will address the severe worry of global warming as if it were worse than a pandemic.

Future generations deserve hope. Real hope.

A minimum wage increase is a beginning. Care for the Earth, our home, is real hope.
