Letter to the editor: Goddard shows proven leadership
Crow Wing County is home to over 400 lakes and all the recreation that comes with them. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office boat and water safety program is the third largest in Minnesota.
Capt. Scott Goddard supervised this division for many years. During his time in this division, he acquired, through federal grant monies, the current side scan imaging equipment used to locate drowning victims. One recent drowning victim was located and recovered from 92 feet of water with this equipment.
Crow Wing County is viewed as a leading agency when it comes to search and rescue of drowned victims. The division is routinely being called to assist other counties throughout the state to locate victims and bring closure to their families. This is due in large part to the innovative thinking and superb leadership of Capt. Scott Goddard. Please vote for Scott Goddard for sheriff.
