Letter to the editor: A trend into depravity
In a recent As I See It column, Pete Abler wrote: "We excused the philandering of President Clinton and now have a far more promiscuous and immoral society as a reward for our lack of concern."
Maybe this explains why bragging about groping (sexually assaulting) daughters is just laughed off as "locker room talk." Or, that a lie is now defined as "alternate truth;" so, there is no more lying, just telling alternate truths.
And why it is OK to publicly call people you disagree with SOBs (or worse). And if a politician cavorts with a porn star, no one bats an eye.
It is difficult to see how the present leadership will reverse this trend into depravity.
