Downtown Nisswa has seen many upgrades this summer. Main Street was paved and striped, sidewalks were repaired, and drainage issues were improved.
At the end of June, a new PA system was installed. The system covers the area from the Nisswa Square to the post office and the turtle track area.
Nisswa is known for its events and activities in the downtown corridor. This system will be used for parade announcing, turtle races and event announcements, and it has the ability to stream music through downtown. It can also be used for public safety announcements.
