On Wednesday, May 6, eight young men and Mrs. Palmer from Pequot Lakes High School arrived at the Christ Community Church in Nisswa at 9 a.m. as part of their day of community service.
Each year the school schedules a group to come to our church and they rake the yard, pick up sticks and this year they even trimmed some dead branches from the trees.
Our congregation certainly appreciates all the work they did to get the grounds ready for the lawn mowing season and how it improved the overall look of the church. The Pequot School District should be proud of these individuals as they represented the school well, as did their teacher, Mrs. Palmer, who is a good role model for her students.
I enjoyed spending some time with all of them. Thank you from all of us at Christ Community Church.
