How the Jenkins City Council can even contemplate standing in the way of the highway improvement from Pequot to Jenkins is incomprehensible.
Anyone who regularly drives this stretch, especially in the tourist season, has seen the accidents, the damaged guardrails, especially on the curves. The accidents at the County Road 16 stoplight are also of concern.
How can you compare the improved safety benefit of this improvement against requiring drivers to make a couple of extra turns to get a hamburger? It's just common sense.
