Letter to the editor: Voters encouraged to vote Goddard

I would like to encourage the voters of Crow Wing County to seriously look at both candidates running to be our new sheriff.

Comparing both candidates, you can come to the conclusion that Capt. Scott Goddard is experienced, prepared and capable of handling a budget while managing the 130-plus employees.

As a retired registered nurse I understand the importance of experience, certainly a necessity in the orchestration involved with being the sheriff. Civic group involvement is important, but experience is crucial for the safety and well-being of the people of Crow Wing County.

Please do your homework and vote on the facts. Scott Goddard is the candidate ready to move forward as the new sheriff of Crow Wing County.
