Grim's Tales: These are a few of my projects this spring

Don't ask me why I thought this was a good idea

It's that time of year again where I'll try my hardest for the next however many months to make the absolute best of sunny skies and warm air.

I'd like to get out metal detecting, magnet fishing and diving, but I can't forget the other things. The chores I really should get done before any of my favorite things. Like mowing the lawn. Like installing a support for outdoor movies when I have visitors. Like redoing landscaping and chopping up downed trees. Like ... like ...

(Cue Rodgers and Hammerstein)

Shingle my roof and gravel my driveway.

Clean the garage and weed the walkway.

Clean up the lawn from dogs doing their thing.

These are a few of my projects this spring.

Old droopy gutters and banged up downspouts.

Construction debris and house needs air-outs.

I'm bad at songs, how'd I come up with this thing?

These are a few of my projects this spring.

Mud in the driveway that needs some gravel.

I have no word that rhymes with gravel.

Potholes in the driveway that need filling.

These are a few of my projects this spring.

and mushrooms ring;

when I'd rather have fun,

I simply remember my projects this spring.

(Oh, thank God, the reprise has come.)

Old droopy gutters and banged up downspouts.

Construction debris and house needs air-outs.

I'm bad at songs, how'd I come up with this thing?

Then I'm so glad this song's done.
