Wayne Leek

Wayne Leek, age 95, of Pequot Lakes, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at his home. He was born to Elbert and Marcia Leek on March 22, 1927, in Staples, MN. Wayne served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 49 in Pequot Lakes for 75 years.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Vera; sons: Steven Leek (Connie), Leslie Leek (Debbie), Alan Leek (Sally); 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Warren Leek; and sisters: Sally Johnson, Jean Manford and Ramona Leek.

Services were held on Saturday, April 9, at Pleasant Hill Community Church, Pequot Lakes. Burial in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
