Lynn Marie Hollaran

Lynn Marie Hollaran, age 78, of Dassel, passed away peacefully at her residence in Dassel, Minnesota, with her family and her pets by her bedside on Sunday, January 3, 2021. A memorial service/celebration of life is planned for the summer of 2021 in Dassel.

Lynn Marie Hollaran, the daughter of William and Joan (Hains) Kruschka was born on August 8, 1942, in Neptune City, Asbury Park, New Jersey. She attended the Manistique High School, Manistique, MI graduating from Neenah High School, Neenah, Wisconsin. She attended Oshkosh State Teachers College and Alverno College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Lynn was employed by the United States Federal Government Social Security Administration as a Manager/Claims Representative for over 40 years. Her civic duties were paramount to her. She loved Minnesota and the Dassel community. She was elected to the Dassel City Council and fought for the rights of the citizens of her community.

She is survived by her daughters: Susan (John) Stejskal of Annandale, Minnesota, Robin (Erik) Elias of Minnesota and three grandchildren: Jacob Stejskal, Charles Stejskal, and Jack Elias. She is also survived by her siblings, Philip (Barb) Kruschka of Livonia, Michigan, Betsy Kruschka of East Haven, Connecticut, and Susan (Andy) Zygmunt of Marion, Connecticut, and her former spouses: Arnold Petersen, James Baumann, and Kevin Hollaran.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tad (Arnold) Petersen, her parents, William and Joan Kruschka, her siblings, Billy (William) Kruschka, Joan Kruschka, and Robin Kruschka and her many pets.

Lynn lived an amazing life, all the while overcoming significant physical limitations. The family is grateful for neighbors and friends and great communities that supported her ability to maintain her fierce independence.
