Joyce Bundy

Joyce Bundy, 92, of Backus, MN passed away on May 31, 2021, at her home in Backus. She was born on Sept. 08, 1928, at Hackensack, MN to Alexander Baxter and Julia Christina Newton. She was raised on a farm a smile south of Hackensack. After graduation, she attended dress making and sewing school in Minneapolis.

She married Ralph Paul Bundy on September 18, 1948 in Walker, MN, and they bought a small farm five miles south Hackensack. She worked many years as a teacher’s aid and school cook assistant at the Backus School.

Joyce is survived by 4 children; Paul Bundy of Backus, Julie (Mike) Botz of Fairfield, ID, Peter (Jeannie) Bundy of Backus and Patrick (Shelly) Bundy of Backus; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, including her special caregivers, her niece and grand-niece, Kathy and Amy Lundberg.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents. 3 sisters, 3 brothers, and an infant granddaughter, Pamela Bundy.

A graveside service was held June 6 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Hackensack, MN.
