Garnet L. Strom

Garnet L. Strom, age 77, of Cohasset, MN passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Grand Village.

Garnet was born in 1942 to Herbert and Dorothy Koster in Pequot Lakes, MN. Garnet graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 1960. Garnet married Kenneth E. Strom on June 4, 1960 in Brainerd, MN. The family moved to the Grand Rapids and Cohasset area. Garnet worked at Janicke Bakery and later for ISD 318 at the high school as a baker until her retirement. Garnet and Kenneth enjoyed camping and traveling out west and into Canada in their motor home and motorcycle.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, and two brothers, Butch and Jerry Koster.

Garnet is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Tim) Ryan of Cloquet, MN; son, Rod (Lisa) Strom of Cohasset, MN; brother, Gary Koster of Cohasset, MN; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN followed by the 12:00 PM Memorial Service. Rev. William Zeige will officiate.
