Everett Donald Olson

Everett Donald Olson, 91, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at UCHealth Greeley Hospital. He was born December 26, 1929 on a farm in Ansel Township in Minnesota to Frank J. and Carrie (Torgerson) Olson.
Everett worked for Olson Trucking, a family owned business, and he also worked for Shamps in Pine River, Minnesota. In 1972, he met Myrt Lamb. They moved to Colorado in 1983, where Everett began working at Mayflower in Greeley, Colorado.
Everett served as a US Marine from 1952 until 1955. He was a Sergeant in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW in Evans, Colorado, the Eagle’s Club in La Salle, Colorado and the American Legion in Pine River, Minnesota.
Everett is survived by his wife, M. Eileen Lamb and children, Sandra (Randy) Mehrhoff of Cincinnati, IA, Pat Douma (Jack Bauer) of Eaton, CO, Penny Tester of Minnesota, Kim Herbote (Dan Alm) of Minnesota, Bill (Mindy) Lamb of Arizona, Chris Lamb of Colorado, Todd (Jenn) Olson of North Carolina, Pamela Olson Brown of Iowa, Linda McCormick of Iowa, Donna (James) White of Texas and Jeannie (Don) Hysell of Iowa. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carrie Olson, his siblings Frank Jr, Gertrude, Inez, Verdie, Raymond, Orville, Harold and Jeanette and sons-in-law, Randy Mehrhoff, Paul Douma, Ron Herbote, Alvin “Rick” Tester and Jerald Cory.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment, with military honors, followed service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
