Darlene Olson

Darlene Marie Olson, age 83, of Pine River, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Senior Class Care in Pequot Lakes after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Pequot Lakes on August 24, 1937, to Howard and Carrie (Shaw) Schmidt. She married Raymond Olson in 1953. They were married for 64 years and had 3 children.

Darlene is survived by her children, Danny (Wanda) Olson, Colleen Ott (Olson), Doreen (Dave) Robideau; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth, James, Cary, Tommy; and sisters, Karen and Joyce. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; brother, Duwayne; sisters, Kathleen, Janice and Sherene.

Darlene loved playing softball and volleyball and loved to scrapbook. She loved to travel and took many trips with her husband, Raymond.

The family would like to thank the staff at Senior Class Care and Heartland Hospice for their amazing care and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
