Barbara A. Olin

Age 94, passed away on December 17, 2020 with her hospice angels by her side. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard “Dick” Olin and son, Richard “Rick”. Barb was a loving and devoted wife and mother, Cub Scout/Girl Scout Leader, and retired from American Hardware Mutual. She and Dick built their retirement home on Ox Yoke Lake in Hackensack, MN and spent many years enjoying the wildlife in between visits from family & friends. In her later years she opened up her home to her older sister, Jean. She was treasurer of the local Christian Women, an active member of her church, and was well known for her creative name tags/place cards at meetings and events. She loved to knit, design with plastic canvas, and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She eventually moved to Edina, MN to be closer to her family. Barb is survived by her sister, Marian (Ken) Sunnarborg, daughters, Diana (Roy) Flesher, Beth (Mike) Fremming, grandchildren Melissa (Andy) Schoenke, David (Nick Funkhouser) Flesher, great-granddaughters Megan & Hazel Schoenke, along with many nieces/nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in 2021 when it is safe to gather. Memorials may be directed to N.C. Little Memorial Hospice at www.littlehospice.org.
