Marvin D. Chell, 90, of Pine River, died peacefully on January 7, 2018. He was born in Minneapolis, and prior to making Pine River his home, lived in Brooklyn Center, Ramsey, and Las Vegas. Survived by his wife of 69 years, Marian Chell and children Stephen (Christine) Chell, Jeffrey (Isabel) Chell, Susan (Arlan) Hagen and Dale (Barbara Anderson) Chell, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marvin was a WWII Navy veteran and served in the south pacific on the U.S.S. Vulcan. He founded Viking Pallet and Viking Engineering and Development in the late 1960's. He was active in Prison Ministries and volunteered at different county jails to minister with inmates. He had a great sense of humor and loved to garden, travel, play piano, and most importantly, visit with family and loved ones. Visitation is on January 11, 5-7 p.m. at Gearty Delmore Funeral Chapel in Plymouth, MN. The funeral will be on January 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in Plymouth, and burial on January 13 at 11 AM at Ponto Lake Cemetery. Memorials to St. Barnabas Lutheran Church Youth.
