Robert "Bob" John Henderson

Robert "Bob" John Henderson, 74, of Crosslake, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. A service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake with a light lunch to follow at Moonlight Bay. Bob never wore much more than jeans and a t-shirt - as we gather to celebrate him we ask you dress the same.

Bob was born September 11, 1943, in Minneapolis, the son of John Edward and Betty Loree (Moberg) Henderson. Following his graduation from high school, Bob continued his education and began a 30 plus year career as a mechanic. He worked for Brainerd Motors and was a local mechanic in the Crosslake area for years, but the highlight for him was serving on a pit crew for an Indianapolis 500 race. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed lunches with friends at Moonlight Bay.

Bob's family so appreciate the care and love of the many friends who helped during his illness, especially, Barb & Bill Schilling and Jim Scott.

He is survived by his siblings, Scott (Sue) Henderson and Kay (Thomas) Towne; five nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Gary (beloved dog).
