Pequot Lakes' Austin Meister was 2-2 with a triple and an RBI as the No. 4 seeded Patriots fell 14-2 to the No. 1 seeded Perham Yellowjackets in the South Subsection 8-2A semifinals Thursday, May 30.

Nic Kotaska was also 2-2, while Dylin Ackerman and Marcus Klein each tallied a run scored.

Meister and Sam Pfeiffer each collected two hits, drove in two runs and scored twice for the No. 4 Pequot Lakes Patriots who defeated the No. 5 Barnesville Tigers 11-1 in six innings in the opening round of the South Subsection 8-2A playoffs Tuesday, May 28.

The Patriots broke a 1-1 tie when they scored six runs in the fifth inning. Driving the big inning was a walk to Daltin Ackerman, a triple by Meister, a Pfeiffer single and a double by Dylan Messenbrink.

A two-out RBI single by Dylin Ackerman capped a four-run sixth inning and gave the Patriots a walk-off win.

Cam Anderson pitched all six innings. He struck out four, walked none and allowed seven hits.
