Pequot Lakes Community Education offers the following upcoming classes. Register online at isd186.org or call 218-568-9200.

• Home Buying Education Class: 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, First National Bank, Pequot Lakes. Fee: free.

Pam Nelson, of First National Bank North, and Dan Pflugshaupt, real estate agent with Lakeplace.com, offer this introduction to home buying for people looking to buy a home who need guidance. This session will cover pre-purchase and home ownership topics. The content is geared toward first-time homebuyers, but everyone is welcome. Those interested in attending should call Pflugshaupt at 218-839-7700.

• Marinades and Grilling: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, Pequot Lakes High School Room G102. Fee: $40.

Learn three different, easy marinade recipes that can be turned into vinaigrettes for salad as well as grilled items. Participants should bring small containers to bring the product home.

This class uses essential oils, so bring any questions about using oils and cooking with them. The class will include marinades useful for chicken, steak and fish. There will be some grilled items to taste.

Instructor is trained culinary chef Kara Super-Peterson.

• Easy Fish: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, Pequot Lakes High School Room G102. Fee: $40.

Learn three ways to cook lake fish other than frying. Participants may bring their own lake fish, thawed, cleaned and ready to use. Cooked dishes may be eaten in class or brought home.
