Highway 18 crash injures 2
A driver and a passenger suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash Sunday, March 24, on Highway 18 east of Brainerd.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash occurred 5:06 p.m. at Three Mile Road in Oak Lawn Township. An Oldsmobile Alero, driven by Edward J. Mcgregor, 33, Crosby, was traveling east on Highway 18, and the GMC Sierra, driven by Nicholas A. Mogensen, 26, Brainerd, was traveling west, according to the state patrol. The Alero crossed into the westbound lane and struck the Sierra head on.
Mogensen was not injured, but his passenger Carl W. Larson, 43, Brainerd, and Mcgregor were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries.
The state patrol reported all three people wore seat belts and airbags in both vehicles deployed.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and the Brainerd police and fire departments responded to the crash.
