More doses becoming available to target groups.

Lakewood Health System is seeing an increase in vaccine allocation from the state, which is allowing the health care organization to continue scheduling first doses.

Second doses are arriving on time, so Lakewood is able to complete the vaccine series as originally scheduled. The health care system is distributing Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson as it is allocated.

Priority groups at this time are: Those 65 years and up, essential caregivers, K-12 educators and licensed child care providers. Anyone in those groups can call 218-894-1515 (choose option No. 2) to schedule their vaccination or be placed on the wait list for the next allocation.

To help prepare for the next priority group, those under 65 who are at high risk and have one or more underlying health conditions can also call to be put on the wait list. Lakewood is prepared to move on to this next group when directed by the state, and plans to continue an efficient and convenient distribution process.

For a full list of qualifying high risk and underlying health conditions, visit Lakewood's website or click to view information from the Minnesota Department of Health.
