CRMC updates its visitor policy

To help protect patients, residents and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby recently updated its visitor guidelines.

In the hospital and clinics, only one visitor is allowed per patient. The visitor must always wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Visitors must use hand sanitizer when entering the facility and entering or exiting the patient room. The visitor must remain in the patient room and only leave to use the restroom or exit the hospital.

Those not following these guidelines will be asked to leave.

The Care Center and Heartwood are allowing outdoor visits with residents. Call the Care Center at 218-546-4371 or Heartwood at 218-545-8500 to make an appointment.

Because of COVID-19 health and safety concerns, the facilities were closed to visitors since March. However, the Minnesota Department of Health recently provided guidance for outdoor visitation with residents.

All visitors are asked to understand the requirements and procedures put in place based on state and federal guidance and work with staff as partners in care giving to abide by them. Visitors should refrain from physical contact with residents and others. Staff will also continue to help connect families and friends with loved ones through alternative means such as telephone, video chat, email or social media.
