The Hackensack Chainsaw Event Committee is looking for white pine logs that are at least 16 inches in diameter or larger. Logs must be down or free of buildings and power lines.

The logs are needed for the 10th annual Hackensack Chainsaw Event, which will be Sept 26-28.

To mark 10 years of this event, the committee has contacted prize-winning carvers who were here in the early years, including Dayton Scoggins from Mississippi and Bob King, originally from Oregon and now from Washington state, who will be returning.

To donate logs, contact Duane Nordin at 218-675-6580 or Dave Sack at 218-675-6151.
