As shoppers make their rounds in downtown Nisswa, they've likely noticed new retailers and other businesses that relocated. Following is a rundown of some of the changes.
bluPaisley
As you make your shopping rounds, you may notice a familiar face in the new shop named bluPaisley. Owner Lindsay Topp was the manager at Fun Sisters in Nisswa for eight years. When a place opened up on Main Street - the former Nisswa Drug store - she could not resist the opportunity.
BluPaisley sells high-end products that are made in the United States (many of which are made in Minnesota), organic and fair trade products. She sells a variety of clothing items, jewelry, hats and headbands.
Barefoot Burrito
Next door to bluPaisley is a new food truck that specializes in burritos. Nate Topp, Lindsay's husband, runs the show, offering specials on various burrito flavors.
Adirondack moves
The coffee shop has moved to a new location on Main Street, right next to Rafferty's Pizza in the courtyard. They switched locations primarily to have more space. In addition to the usual lunch specials, Adirondack now offers breakfast and dinner as well.
The business also offers a Latin dance night from 6-8 p.m. Fridays through July.

The Purple Squirrel
This new shop opened in May on Main Street, next to The Lazy One and Rebecca's. Inside you will find various vintage, chic items. Many products are restored and some are new, and they are always getting in new, different items.
The Purple Squirrel shares owners with The Lazy One's Heidi and Brett Behnken along with Tonya and Jay Lendl.
Moxy Hair Studio
This new hair salon opened in the former Adirondack location in January. The studio offers haircuts, color, hair treatments, nail services, styling, various cosmetic services and more.
Loide' Oils & Vinegars, Ltd. moves
If you have swung by the Loide' Oils & Vinegars former location in Nisswa Square, you will notice it moved and is now on the south end of Main Street, offering extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars (imported from all over the world), gifts, dairy and gluten-free chocolates, bath and body products, as well as pasta.
The Red Umbrella
Formerly located in the strip mall on Highway 371 across from North Long Lake, The Red Umbrella moved to Nisswa Square to seek more traffic. This boutique features funky furniture and unique home decor. It will offer painting classes, featuring chalk/furniture painting, twice a week starting the week of July 21.
