Two systems will impact the Northland Wednesday through Friday.
The first will bring a wintry mix Wednesday morning, the second will bring snow Thursday into Friday.
Some travel impacts will be possible for Wednesday morning, and again for Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
Icing from the freezing rain/drizzle, as well as snow accumulations, will cause some slippery stretches on area roadways. Icing will be most likely Wednesday morning, and again Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Snow will cause slippery road conditions over northwest Wisconsin Thursday into Friday morning.
There’s some uncertainty as to where the transition zone from snow to rain will end up, but there is higher confidence it will be somewhere over northeast Minnesota. Also, the icing will be greatly dependent on surface road temperatures.
A second system will track near the area for Thursday and Friday. Impacts will vary depending on its track.
