Snow returns to the Northland area tonight as a cold front moves through the region.

Clouds will continue to increase evening, with scattered snow showers moving into the International Falls area after 6 pm. Snow showers will continue to spread across the remainder of the Northland tonight with the most accumulation being generally north of Highway 2.

Overnight snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected north of HWY 2 with locally higher amounts in the Arrowhead region. Areas south of HWY 2 look to see only a dusting of snow overnight. Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower to upper 20s.

The Monday morning commute may be slow, mainly north, due to the overnight snow. The snow will taper off from the northwest to southeast through the day on Monday. Total snowfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected north with a dusting to 1 inch south.
