Spring has arrived – Construction on Hwy 10 in Wadena kicks off Monday, March 30. Expect to see crews bring in equipment and prepare the work areas over the next couple weeks.
Here’s what to expect when navigating through the work zone:
- Hwy 10 Open: Both lanes of Highway 10 traffic will shift onto the westbound side of the road as crews reconstruct the eastbound side.
- Hwy 71 Detour: Highway 71 to close at Highway 10 and detour using Highway 29/Colfax Avenue and Second Street SW for southbound traffic and Juniper Avenue and Second Street NW for northbound traffic.
- Pedestrians: May encounter sidewalk closures with pedestrian detours, follow signs.
The schedule is based on good weather conditions.
Wadena is open!
Access to businesses and residences will remain open, however expect changes.
