Crow Wing County crews continue sealing road cracks
Crow Wing County maintenance crews will continue crack sealing County Highway 2 in Daggett Brook Township and County Highway 30 in Wolford Township throughout the week.
Crews will begin crack sealing County Road 124 and County Highway 33 later in the week.
Contracted crack sealing crews will continue or begin crack sealing County Highway 9, County Road 121 and County Highway 45 in Daggett Brook and St. Mathias townships throughout the week.
Crews will work on the travel lane and on the shoulders simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.
Crews will also patch potholes on various county roads throughout the week. They will pull over and stop frequently on the shoulders of the roads to perform the work. Loose patching material debris may be present.
Motor graders will level and shape gravel roads throughout the county early in the week. Motorists should watch for the slow-moving graders and tractors when traveling on gravel county and First Assessment District roads.
Seasonal weight restrictions are in effect until Tuesday, May 14. Most roads will have restrictions removed Tuesday except for county roads 105, 106 and 141, Second Assessment District roads and County Highway 36, east of Highway 6, due to sub-soil saturation and frost boils.
