Crow Wing County crews continue sealing road cracks
Crow Wing County maintenance crews will begin sealing cracks on County Highway 17 and County Road 168 in Pequot Lakes and County Highway 2 in Daggett Brook Township throughout the week.
Contracted crack sealing crews will also begin crack sealing County Highway 28 and County Road 102 in Irondale Township, and county highways 9 and 44 in Daggett Brook Township throughout the week.
Crews will work on the travel lane and on the shoulders simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.
Crews will patch potholes on various county roads throughout the week. They will pull over and stop frequently on the shoulders of the roads to perform the work. Loose patching material debris may be present.
Spring roadway sweeping is underway on various county roads throughout the county. Motorists
should watch for the slow-moving brooms when traveling county roads.
Motor graders will begin leveling and shaping gravel roads in the northeast corner of the county Wednesday and Thursday. Shoulder reclaiming will be performed on gravel roads in the south region and First Assessment District areas of the county.
Seasonal road load limit weight restrictions are in effect. All roads are posted and will be enforced.
