Strength training, swim lessons offered in Pequot Lakes

• Co-ed Body Conditioning/Strength Training for grades 5-12, session 2:4:20-5:05 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 7-May 21, Pequot Lakes High School cafeteria and outside (weather permitting).

Personal trainer Joleen Platt will continue this youth body conditioning class for youth in grades 5-12 to get in a workout, learn strength training exercises that can be continued into adulthood and keep active.

The class will consist of:

• Body weight training (resistance bands, jump ropes, exercise tubes).

• Core stability and cardiovascular exercises.

• Nutritional advice.

• Training customized to individuals.

Class fee is $31 for 14 classes. A minimum of 15 students is required. Class is limited to 20 students.

• Swimming lessons, spring session: AmericInn in Jenkins.

Instructor Vickey Leonard will hold swimming lessons for ages 0 and older Mondays or Wednesdays, starting April 6 and 8, for six weeks at the AmericInn in Jenkins. Times vary depending on swim level.

Fee is $48. Class sizes are limited.
