St. Francis Catholic School in Brainerd raises more than $60,000

Along with 81 other schools, St. Francis raised a combined total of $1.49 million - a new record for the program.

Students, faculty and families of St. Francis Catholic School in Brainerd raised $60,000 through the Catholic Schools Raffle program from Jan. 15-Feb. 28.

Along with 81 other schools, St. Francis raised a combined total of $1.49 million, which is a new record for the program.

St. Francis students sold $5 raffle tickets as part of the fundraising program that has been provided free of charge by sponsor Catholic United Financial since 2009. St. Francis is one of 82 schools in Minnesota and the Dakotas involved in 2021.

Funds raised by participating schools like St. Francis are used to enhance school programs and facilities, including funding field trips, building playgrounds, supplementing tuition costs and providing new education technology.
