SWCD hosts luncheon to tout landowner successes
The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District will host a public luncheon to share the successes local landowners have had in conservation.
The event will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Crow Wing County Land Services building, 322 Laurel St., Brainerd.
"Local people are doing great things for clean water and habitat in this area. We want to make sure these stories get told," District Manager Melissa Barrick said in a news release.
"Landowners will explain how and why they got into conservation programs and the benefits."
Luncheon participants will also learn how protecting lakes benefit the long-term economic sustainability of the county.
