Explore Minnesota releases year’s first fall color map
ST. PAUL -- Explore Minnesota has launched its annual fall color map and Clay and Norman counties in northwestern Minnesota are among a few small pockets leading the march toward autumn hues.
"Scenic road trips, harvest season, festivals and outdoor recreation make fall the second-biggest travel season. Minnesota is a top destination to experience the fall colors at parks and trails across the state," said Explore Minnesota director John Edman in a news release. "With weekly statewide fall color reports, we're able to help travelers make the most of this special season."
The fall color finder, available at mndnr.gov/fallcolor, will be updated every Wednesday though the end of October.
