The Breezy Point Figure Skating Club and Skate School will host their annual show, Paradise on Ice, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 10, and 5 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the Breezy Point Ice Arena.
Sydney Berrier will be the guest skater. She trains at the White Bear Lake Sports Center and attends a circus school.

Minnesota author Colin Mustful will give free Legacy Program book talks at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Lifehouse Coffee Shop on Barclay Avenue in Pine River and at 1 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Pequot Lakes Library.
Mustful is the author of three novels that tell the story of the people and events surrounding the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862.
Relay for Life
kickoff meeting
A kickoff meeting for the 14th annual Pine River-Backus Area Relay For Life will be at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at The Warehouse in Pine River. Anyone interested in having a team or being on a team is encouraged to attend the meeting.

Relay for Life will be Friday, June 16, at the Pine River-Backus High School track.
