The Reina del Cid ensemble will make its Grassroots Concerts debut at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the Live Well Nightclub and Coffee Bar in Nisswa.
Reina del Cid and company is part singer-songwriter group, part rock band that boasts lyrical storytelling, catchy riffs and scorching solos.
Reina del Cid, a Fargo native, and her band cut their teeth in 2013 with a weekly residency at the Amsterdam Bar and Hall in downtown St. Paul, which they held for nearly two years before moving on to tour nationally and release their 2015 album, "The Cooling."
Lead guitarist Toni Lindgren, a Wisconsin native, has been playing gigs since age 14. Bassist Andrew Foreman is from Portland, and drummer Zack Schmidt is from Bismarck.

Admission for general seating at all Grassroots concerts is $10 at the door for adults and $5 for children under 12 with listening attention when accompanied by an adult. Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Nonperishable food or cash donations to a local food shelf are welcomed at each concert.
The Live Well Nightclub and Coffee Bar, 5459 County Road 18, Nisswa, is located in the Journey Church next to the school.
Grassroots performances are made possible in part by a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council with funding through the Minnesota State Legislature.
