Preschool family field trip planned to Children's Discovery Museum in Grand Rapids

Families in the Pequot Lakes area who have preschool aged children ages 3-5 are invited to join a field trip to Grand Rapids to visit the Children's Discovery Museum on Wednesday, May 18.

Families in the Pequot Lakes area who have preschool aged children ages 3-5 are invited to join a field trip to Grand Rapids to visit the Children's Discovery Museum on Wednesday, May 18.

The coach style bus will leave the Early Childhood Center on the east end of Eagle View Elementary School at 8 a.m. and return around 3 p.m.

The field trip group will visit the Animal House Discovery program and explore the Children's Discovery Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children will discover animal houses through puppets, track prints, stories and more adventures.

Adults must pack a lunch for their family. A parent or adult must accompany each registered child.

The fee includes the coach bus transportation and admission to the Discovery Museum. Cost is $15 for adults, $5 for School Readiness, Learning Is Fun or an Early Childhood Family Education participant, and $12 for children not enrolled in an early education program.

Registration must be completed by Friday, May 13, at the Early Childhood office on the east end of Eagle View. Or visit www.isd186.org to submit an online registration with a credit card payment by May 13. From the school district home page, go to "online payments," then "Community Education," and select the Early Childhood program and complete the registration information.
