Pine River-Backus School will host an open house for fifth- through 12th-graders Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Fifth- and sixth-graders will meet at 6 p.m. in the Performance Gym to meet teachers, learn about classroom expectations, visit classrooms, receive schedules and locker numbers with combinations, and have questions answered.

A free hot dog supper will be available from 5-7 p.m. in the Commons.

Individual parent-teacher conferences for students in kindergarten through fourth grade will be Sept. 2 and 3. The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 2, for grades 5-12, and Thursday, Sept. 4, for grades K-4.
