The Pine River-Backus junior varsity speech team competed at its last meet of the season Tuesday, March 17, in Walker.
Nikita Van Heerden and Hannah Nordlund, as well as Hunter Rice and Kade Schneider, took home red ribbons in dramatic duo; and Katie Hanneken earned a red ribbon in humorous interpretation.
Also competing were Breigh Brogle and Hanna Milham in prose, Jasmine Ellsworth in poetry, and Trevor Birr in humorous interpretation.
Emma Armstrong and Sam Maurer were varsity judges and mentors.
