Pine River-Backus High School will host the annual Grad Blast celebration for graduating seniors, and donations are needed for the event.

Grad Blast is a celebration meant to keep graduating seniors safe all night long. Because Grad Blast is an alcohol-free event that gives seniors the chance to spend time with their friends from the evening of graduation through the following morning, this keeps kids from driving while impaired on the night of graduation or encountering other celebration related issues.

Past events have included live entertainment, Karaoke, bowling, games, mock casino picture taking and big prizes for everyone.

Donations of money, gift cards, food and time have made Grad Blast events in past years successful. The event is not school funded; therefore, it depends completely on those donations.

Checks can be made out to "Grad Blast Committee" and mailed to Grad Blast Committee, C/O Charity Crannell, PO Box 610, Pine River, MN 56474.
